Emilia

Larsen Syndrome

Emilia was born on Nov. 6, 2017 via c-section. At her 20 week ultrasound, we were told that she was severely deformed, and a few days after her birth, the doctors diagnosed her with arthrogryposis. She had a dislocated hip and knee as well as severely clubbed feet. We were told that she may never walk.

We had heard about a doctor in Florida that specialized in her condition and wanted to get a second opinion. At our first visit with Dr. Feldman, he was confident that she WILL walk. We came in January 2020 for a 3-month visit. Emilia had hip, knee, and feet surgeries mixed in with a lot of physical therapy and a few castings. She is now standing with a walker. It is only a matter of strengthening her muscles, and then she will really take off. We feel like we have a clear path forward and are confident Emilia will be walking on her own soon, with a big thanks to Dr. Feldman.
