Multiple Hereditary Exostoses
Layla was born with Multiple Hereditary Exostoses and her family found out she had MHE at the age of 6. When she was 11 years old, she started to feel some pain in her osteochondromas so she traveled all the way from Egypt to the Paley institute. She has gotten 3 surgeries in both of her arms and legs and is now almost done with her surgeries. Layla has been playing tennis since she was 7 years old and she is also a drummer. However, she stopped for a year and she is now back to doing everything normal. She is enjoying her life to the max without pain.
